Ximena Echagüe, a Documentary and Street Photographer from Belgium and Argentina, currently resides in Brussels but is always on the move, capturing life’s essence and dynamics through her lens.
Her extensive portfolio has graced exhibitions in over 20 countries across Europe, America, and Asia, comprising 5 solo exhibitions and participation in over 80 group exhibitions. Renowned publications like the New York Times, BBC News, and the Washington Post have recognized her work, which has also been featured in numerous esteemed platforms such as Eyeshot, Fotografiska, and National Geographic.
Beyond her own artistic pursuits, Ximena is dedicated to supporting fellow artists. She serves as a curator, jury member, and mentor for initiatives like Women Street Photographers in New York and Fotógrafas LATAM in Paris. Additionally, she mentors the “La Vie en Bleu” Photography Residency and Exhibition Program in Nice, France.
Ximena recently debuted her first book, “Trapped,” published by Daylight Books in January 2024. She is affiliated with the Little Box collective and Progressive Street and her work can be found in prestigious collections including the Museum of the City of New York and the International Center of Photography.
